If you already have a reservation with us, all the information you need for your stay will be sent to you 48 hours before your arrival.
Reservation policies
· A security deposit of $500.00 will be frozen on the credit card provided by the customer 48 hours before the arrival date. An additional amount of $300.00 will be retained if a dog is present during the stay.
· The total amount of the deposit will be returned after the departure of the customer if the inventory of fixtures is adequate.
· Arrival time is from 4pm and departure time is at 11 am.
· The cabins are accessible with a digital code lock. The code for the digital lock will be sent to you by email 2 days before your arrival.
· A late fee of $50.00 per 30 minutes will be charged to clients who have not left by 11:00 am.
· One dog is allowed per cottage. A fee of $50.00 per stay will be added to the total amount of the rental.
· In the event that the client does not show up for the reservation, km 42 will not offer any refund and will keep the total amount of the reservation (including taxes).
· All requests for changes to reservations must be sent by email at least 30 days before the arrival date, otherwise no changes will be possible.
· The price of the new reservation will be adjusted according to the new dates chosen.
· Rental prices are subject to change without notice.
· km 42 does not offer refunds or adjustments for price changes.
· For cancellations made between 15 and 30 days prior to arrival, km 42 will refund 50% of the total amount (including taxes) of the reservation.
· For any cancellation made less than 15 days before the arrival date, no refund will be allowed and km 42 will keep the total amount of the reservation (including taxes).
· Admitted refunds will be made within 10 business days of the cancellation of the reservation.
· In the event that the implementation of government directives does not force the cancellation of a reservation, the reservation in question may be postponed for 12 months following the scheduled date of stay.
· The amount of the initial reservation will be transferable and the cost of the new reservation will be adjusted according to the new reservation dates. Clients are responsible for contacting km 42 to reschedule their stay prior to the start of their stay.
Rental policy
· For the small rustic cabins, parking is on the right as you enter the site.
· Access to the cabins and waste bins must not be blocked by client's vehicle.
· No vehicles are allowed on the grounds, not even to drop off your luggage.
· The parking for the Ermitage on the trail cabin is directly in front of the cabin.
· No pets are allowed on site, except for one dog per cabin.
· You must indicate the presence of your dog at the time of reservation. Dogs must be on a leash at all times on the site with the supervision of the owner and the needs must be picked up.
· Respect for the site, the vegetation and the other tenants is paramount. The site must be left as it was when you arrived, no damage or alteration to the built environment or vegetation will be tolerated.
· km 42 reserves the right to demand the departure of the customers in case of contrary.
· The following installations are prohibited on the site of km 42: tent-trailer, camper, tent, marquee, mosquito shelter, etc.
· It is forbidden to: smoke inside the cabins, hunt or shoot projectiles with a rifle or shotgun, damage or cut trees or flora, use fireworks, use a drone and/or remote controlled objects.
· No motorized vehicles are allowed on the site: four-wheelers, dirt bikes, etc. The rules and regulations of the city of Val-David must be respected at all times.
· The premises must be left as they were when you arrived.
· Used bedding and towels must be placed in the bathtub upon departure.
· You must leave the dishes clean and tidy.
· The refrigerator must be empty and undamaged.
· The furniture in the cabin must be replaced as it was when you arrived.
· The Bluetooth speaker must only be used inside the cottage. A $200.00 fee will be charged to your credit card if the speaker is lost or missing when you leave.
· It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the cottages. A $500 charge will be made on your credit card if you do not smoke. Smoking is permitted outside, but cigarette butts must be picked up and disposed of.
· Missing items will be charged to the clients. It is imperative to notify us of any breakage that occurred during your stay.
· Each cabin has an indoor wood burning fireplace. The cost of the ecological logs is $20.00 for the total reserve present at the time of your arrival. You can use the total reserve or pay pro rata to your use.
· The money must be left in the envelope assigned for this purpose. Payment can also be taken by credit card.
· Two passes for access to Dufresne Regional Park are available.
· When you leave, the passes must be left on the kitchen table. A fee of $130.00 per pass will be charged to your credit card if the passes are not returned or if they are lost.
· The minimum age for renting a cottage is 18 years old. A person 18 years and older must be present at all times during the stay.
· A maximum of four people and one dog per cottage are allowed. A curfew is imposed between 22.00 and 9.00.
· Tenants may circulate on the property between these hours, but must do so in a quiet manner and with respect for other tenants.
· km 42 is not responsible for lost or damaged items during your stay.
· In order to ensure the safety of tenants and employees, km 42 is committed to following the measures and recommendations put in place by the Public Health Agency of Canada as well as by provincial government authorities. The tenants must also respect the sanitary measures in force for their safety and that of the other users of the site.
