If you have already made a reservation with us, all the information useful to your stay will be sent to you 48 hours before your arrival.

Reservation policies

· A security deposit of $500.00 will be frozen on the credit card provided by the client 48 hours before the arrival date. An additional amount of $300.00 will be withheld if a dog is present during the stay.

· The total amount of the deposit will be refunded following the client's departure if the inventory is adequate.

· Arrival time is from 4:00 p.m. and the departure time is before 11:00 a.m.

· Arrival is keyless, with a digital code lock. The digital code for the digital lock will be sent to you by email 2 days before your arrival.

· A late fee of $50.00 per 30 minutes will be charged to customers who have not left by 11:00 a.m.

· One dog is allowed per chalet. A fee of $50.00 per stay will be added to the total rental amount.

· In the event that the customer does not show up for their reservation, km 42 will not offer any refund and will therefore retain the entire amount of the reservation (including taxes). 

· All requests for changes to reservations must be sent by email at least 30 days before the arrival date, otherwise no changes will be possible.

· The price of the new reservation will be adjusted according to the new dates chosen.

· Rental prices are subject to change without notice.

· km 42 does not offer refunds or adjustments for price changes.

· For cancellations made between 15 and 30 days prior to arrival, km 42 will refund 50% of the total amount (including taxes) of the reservation.

· For any cancellation made less than 15 days before the arrival date, no refund will be allowed and km 42 will keep the total amount of the reservation (including taxes).

· Admitted refunds will be made within 10 business days of the cancellation of the reservation.

· In the event that the implementation of government directives does not force the cancellation of a reservation, the reservation in question may be postponed for 12 months following the scheduled date of stay.

· The amount of the initial reservation will be transferable and the cost of the new reservation will be adjusted according to the new reservation dates. Clients are responsible for contacting km 42 to reschedule their stay prior to the start of their stay.

Rental policy

· For small rustic chalets, parking is on the right as you enter the site.

· Access to chalets and waste bins must not be blocked by your car.

· No vehicles are allowed on the site, or even to drop off your luggage.

· Parking for chalet #8 is directly in front of the chalet.

· No pets are allowed on site, with the exception of one dog per chalet.

· You must indicate the presence of your dog when booking. Dogs must be on a leash at all times on site with the supervision of the handler and as needed must be picked up.

· Respect for the premises, vegetation and other tenants is essential. The site must be left as it was when you arrived, no damage or alteration to the built environment or vegetation will be tolerated.

· km 42 reserves the right to require customers to leave otherwise.

· The following installations are prohibited on the km 42 site: trailer tent, camper, tent, marquee, mosquito net shelter, etc.

· It is prohibited to: smoke inside the chalets, hunt or shoot projectiles with a rifle or rifle, damage or cut down trees or flora, use fireworks, use a drone and/or remotely controlled objects.

· No motor vehicles are permitted on the site: four-wheelers, dirt bikes, etc. The regulations of the city of Val-David must be respected at all times. 

· The premises must be left as they were when you arrived.

· Used bedding and towels must be placed in the bathtub upon departure.

· You must leave the dishes clean and tidy.

· The refrigerator must be emptied and undamaged.

· The chalet furniture must be put back as it was when you arrived.

· The Bluetooth speaker must only be used inside the chalet. An amount of $200.00 will be charged to your credit card if the speaker is lost or missing upon your departure.

· Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the chalets. Otherwise, an amount of $500 will be charged to your credit card. Smoking is permitted outside, but cigarette butts must be picked up and thrown away.

· Missing items will be charged to customers. It is imperative to notify us of a breakage occurring during the stay.

· Each chalet has an interior wood fireplace. The cost of ecological logs is $20.00 for the total reserve present when you arrive. You can use the full reserve or pay in proportion to your usage.

· The money must be left in the envelope assigned for this purpose. Payment can also be taken by credit card.

· Two passes for access to the Dufresne regional park are available to you.

· When you leave, passes must be left on the kitchen table. An amount of $130.00 per pass will be charged to your credit card if the passes are not returned or if they are lost.

· The minimum age for renting a chalet is 18 years old. A person aged 18 and over must be present at all times during the stay.

· A maximum of four people and one dog per chalet are allowed. Wanting to be a family and peaceful place, a curfew is imposed between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.

· Tenants can circulate on the land between these hours, but must do so in peace and with respect for other tenants.

· km 42 is not responsible for items lost or damaged during your stay. 

· In order to ensure the safety of tenants and employees, km 42 is committed to following the measures and recommendations put in place by the Public Health Agency of Canada as well as by provincial government authorities. The tenants must also respect the sanitary measures in force for their safety and that of the other users of the site.
